Assaf

About Me
Isabelle is best known for her portrayals as Eponine in Les Miserables at The Company Theatre and Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank at The Arctic Playhouse, the latter of which won her a MOTIF award for her performance. Other notable roles include Carrie in Carrie the Musical, Gertrude in Seussical, and Karissa in Stuck! a workshop for a new musical, which earned her a Broadway World in Boston award nomination. She has also appeared in Renoir Kobashi's musical short film Jen Xponential as Dana, and in Angelwood Pictures shows Luna, the Witch and Francine, the Fixer-Witch as Melphie, streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi.
Isabelle is a graduate of AMDA's 2 year conservatory program in New York City and is currently pursuing her BFA!
Isabelle began performing at 9 years old and immediately fell in love. When her father passed away at 14 was when she knew she had to pursue her goal of performing professionally, because of how much her father saw her as a star. Besides theatre, Isabelle also enjoys cosplaying, collecting LEGO, and doing tarot card readings.

Reviews and Accolades
LES MISERABLES
Reviewed by Tony Annicone
"The Heroic Eponine is marvelously played by Isabelle Assaf. Her fantastic voice is heard in "On My Own" Where she decides to stand by Marius even though he is in love with Cosette, and in "A Little Fall of Rain" after she is fatally shot. The latter song is gut wrenching and emotionally draining. Isabelle gives Eponine a backbone to stand up to her horrible and vile parents. But with her acting prowess, Isabelle gives the role and endearing quality, making the audience root for her at the same time."
THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
Reviewed by Michael Bilow for MOTIF
"Director Rachel Hanauer has assembled for the Arctic production a skilled cast headed by the extraordinary Isabelle Assaf as Anne, called upon to carry many scenes entirely alone while seated at her small writing desk and speaking to her diary using a remarkable facility and range of expression."
THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

"Anne Frank was 13 years old when she went into hiding and actress Isabelle Assaf never lets you forget it. Assaf's interpretation of Anne is so youthful and pure, jubilant and hopeful, honest and devastating - so authentically teenager. Assaf gives you the complexity of Anne. She plays her young but not naive. When Assaf states "We can't go outside. We can't even look out a window," you feel the sadness and frustration alongside her as she comes to terms with her reality."

"The fantastic young actress who plays Anne Frank is Isabelle Assaf. She captures the exuberance of this young girl who grows into a woman. She keeps your attention from start to finish with her dynamic line delivery and acting prowess. Her relationship with the other cast members shine, and her interactions with them are standout moments in this show. Isabelle makes Anne a real person."
